Photographer Alex Prager was born in Los Angeles, California in 1979. She was raised in the suburb of Los Feliz by her grandmother. During her upbringing, however, she bounced from city to city, living between Florida, California, and Switzerland. Because of her nomadic lifestyle, Prager never attained a formal education but began to take an interest in photography in her early twenties. As an adolescent, Prager began taking acting roles for plays, television commercials, and soap operas in Los Angeles, California.
